Mr. Reid became a principal of our firm in 1984. He joined the firm in 1978, after graduating from Columbus College with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting. In addition to his other duties as a principal, Mr. Reid is responsible for the firm’s practice in Employee Benefit Plan Administration and Trust and Estate Administration. Mr. Reid is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Columbus Estate Planning Council and past President of the Columbus Chapter of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Reid is active in the life of his church, St. Luke United Methodist Church, where he has served in many teaching and leadership roles including finance committee chairman and church treasurer. Mr. Reid also served on the South Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church committee on finance and administration as budget chairman.

Mr. Reid’s community activities include service on the boards of the Columbus Chapter, American Diabetes Association, Big Brothers Big Sisters, The House of Mercy, and Open Door Community Center. His devotion to the betterment of young men is evident by his 25 years as an active leader in the Boy Scouts of America. He has served both Boy Scouting and Cub Scouting in unit leadership positions. He has served the Chattahoochee Council as Chairman of the TrailBlazer district, Council Commissioner, Vice President for Program and Council President.

His honors include inclusion in 1984’s Outstanding Young Men of America, TrailBlazer District Award Merit, The House of Mercy Never Say No Award, the Chattahoochee Council BSA, Silver Beaver Award and the “Spine Award” of Team One Advertising. His hobbies include camping, woodworking, bicycling and genealogy. He is married and has two children.
